Comments on Monkey Island 1 Run by Mike!

Made it in less than 40 minutes! 39:12 to be precise, which is a little more than 9 minutes faster the previous run. Of course, I did use more savegames, but only to optimize the
random elements. Here are the main time-savers:

- Sword fighting: On my second recording here I slipped up early and left a fight by accident.
I was about to start over when I thought that it might actually bring me luck… and it did! It took less than 3 minutes to beat three pirates and learn 5 new replies. I’ve never done it
that fast before and probably never will again. Overall, I saved 3 minutes here.

- Sequence change: After completing the trials I talked to Stan about credit before going
back into town. This saved me a trip back and forth and about one minute.

- Opening the safe: I used a savegame here since it’s almost impossible not to waste time while doing this “live”. Saved about half a minute.

- Catacombs: This is totally random and times to get through can vary greatly. Saved about
a minute here.

The rest of the time was gained in small bits throughout. I made no other major sequence changes (Phallosvogel had planned things well).
